Artemisia annua L.

    Annual grassy plant. Height is up to 110 cm. Shoots appear 8-10 days after planting. In the first month after appearing of shoots the plants grow very slow. The active growth begins from the 1 decade of June and lasts up to the end of July. Mass blossom is in the 3 decade. Seeds ripen at the end of September. Germination of seeds  preserves during two years. It is propagated by seeds. From plant raw material the essential oil is done. Essential oil is yellow with pleasant fresh fragrance. Main component is artemisia-keton (54 %).
    It is resistant to pests and diseases. It is easy grow on any soil.
