Wormwood medical variety EVKSIN

Artemisia abrotanum L.

 

    Perennial plant, half-bush with height of 1,0-1,2 m with rather thick woody root.
    Vegetation period is 190-200 days. Mass blossom is in the middle of August and lasts up to the beginning of September. Seeds  ripen in the beginning of October.
    It is propagated by seeds and vegetation (wooded cuttings).
    It grows well on open areas with loose soils. It is resistant to  drought. In period of mass blossom  wormwood accumulate the maximum quantity of essential oil. Oil has orange-yellow color and strong pleasant aroma. Productivity is 0,4-0,5% on raw material.
